CH Bertschire's Obsidian Shadow UD SH NA WCX HOF

"Shadow", owned by Terri & Jeff Seeley, co-owned with Andrea Holsinger was a high energy, active Flat Coat, even at 10.5 years old! Sadly, Shadow passed away in September 2001. Inducted into the FCRSA Hall Of Fame in June of 2001, Terri writes:

Shadow has been an incredible Flat Coat for me. No matter what endeavor we have attempted, he has been willing and eager to work with me. He has raised puppies, he has now raised an infant who became a toddler and who is now the preschool dog trainer! His patience with whomever trains him is one of his best qualities.

Shadow finished his championship early and became a solid obedience dog from there, finishing his CD and CDX easily, with many class placements.

When I became pregnant with my son, Andrew, Shadow went to live with Andrea to work on his advanced field titles. He took this change in household and work well in stride and finished his WCX and SH with a lot of help from Kass Goulding. At the age of 8, we determined that Master work was beyond him and he came home once again.

I was and still am heavily involved in agility and decided that Shadow should try this. He did so with great enthusiasm.

At age 9, we decided to finish out his obedience career by getting his UD title. He finished his UD in November of 2000, which completed the requirements for the Hall of Fame.

At the ripe old age of 10, Shadow still runs in agility and field. He has been and will continue to be the most versatile Flat Coat I have ever owned. Thanks to Nancy Cavallo and Andrea Holsinger for such an amazing creature. Thanks to Donna Slavin for your ongoing support of this dog. Thank you, Shadow, for being the best dog you know how to be!
