Training Camp/Seminar Applications This page will allow you to find, download and print applications for camps or seminars. You will need Acrobat Reader to open and print any of these documents. After printing, please return the applications with $100.00 deposit to Pacesetter Training Kennel 43 Home Place, Winterville, GA 30683. Advanced camp applications should be used by those who have already force-fetched and collar-conditioned their dogs. Ideally dogs are at least partially steady, and have begun doing yard drills such as pile work. Camps are 5 day, individualized training sessions that are limited to no more than 2 dogs. They may be scheduled for virtually any time during the year. You must email us for availability before submitting an application by mail. Dogs and handlers of any experience or skill level may attend a camp. Please click here to download an application for an advanced training camp. If you plan to bring a dog that is not fully force fetched, or is very inexperienced, please download the Basic camp application. Seminars are annual events, occurring in February. They are 3 days long, always span a weekend and are limited to 10 dog/handler teams. Advanced dogs are usually force-fetched, may or may not be collar-conditioned, but are ready to move into steadiness work, collar conditioning and related drill work and more complex marks. Dogs and/or handlers suitable for the Basic seminar will have little or no experience with field training, especially introduction to all elements of field work, including water, birds, guns and decoys. The Basic seminar is also a great way to decide if you or your dog are interested in field training. Please email to learn of availability of seminar positions. |
