Now a veteran, "Shinda" is one of our most accomplished dogs. He is always up for some fun, and he enjoys any activity as long as it involves being with people. He has exceptional patience with other dogs, and can be trusted with puppies as well as intact males.

Successful in the show ring (as a veteran, Shinda has won a veteran's sweepstakes class, as well as a veteran regular class at the 1999, 2000 and 2003 national specialties, respectively. He also earned a Judge's Award of Merit at the 2003 specialty from the 11 and older veteran's class.), Shinda really shines at performance events. In 1996, he won the competitive FCRSA Singles Championship. (shown below)

His Master Hunter title was earned easily, shortly after his third birthday. Shinda then went on to a very successful agility career, and was retired from active competitions in 1998, after qualifying for the FCRSA Hall of Fame.

Thoroughly enjoying his retirement, Shinda sleeps on the bed, plays with our other dogs, and gets an occasional bird in the field!

Shinda's name is Swahili, and translates to "winner of peace", certainly an apt name for this lovely guy! He is owned and trained by Kass Goulding, is co-owned and was bred by Ann Mortenson (Amani Flat Coated Retrievers), and was trained and handled to his agility titles by Pam Hoffman and Donna Slavin.

Now 12 years old, Shinda still enjoys retrieving and goes on daily walks around the property.
